AYSO Area 9R REFUND Policy:

AYSO Annual Membership Fee (NPF) is non-refundable, see section below regarding special circumstances. Registration fees for EXTRA are fully refundable to the method of payment that was originally used until July 31st of the registration year that payment was provided or until a player has received their uniform and participated in trainings with the team. After that, NO REFUNDS will be given, as uniforms have been purchased, and participant has participated in trainings provided to EXTRA players and/or games played.

Special Circumstances that warrant a refund of the NPF to the Section, Area, or Region:

Even though the NPF is non-refundable, there may be extenuating circumstances in which a Section, Area, or Region may request a refund of these fees on behalf of member families. These would include:

·         A duplicate payment or payment collected on a test membership account.

·         The player registers and pays a membership fee, but before beginning participation in a local program moves to a neighborhood where there is no AYSO program.

·         When there is no division or program in which the player can participate, or the program is unable to operate at any time during the AYSO membership year.

·         The participant dies or experiences an injury that prevents any level of participation in the program.

To request a refund for the EXTRA program, please email the EXTRA coordinator at area9rextra@gmail.com and provide the account name and the player’s name that needs to be refunded. You will receive an auto-response, followed by a confirmation of your initial request.

AYSO Area 9R EPIC Registration:

AYSO EPIC (Everyone Plays in the Community), formerly known as the Very Important Player (VIP) program provides assisted play soccer and is Open Registration, Everyone Plays for anyone who just needs a little more assistance on the field or a little more patience and understanding from players, volunteers, and spectators. This program is not just limited to those with disabilities or special needs.

Area 9R and the hosting region, Region 239 in Layton, have waived the player registration fee for EPIC.

The AYSO Annual Membership Fee is non-refundable and must be paid prior to any players participating in the EPIC program. See section above regarding special circumstances.

Our VIP Buddies are other players who have a pinnie on during the game and are on the field with the players helping them to get involved in the play. Many of our players need no to little assistance on the field. Our more mobile players participate in games each Saturday during the season at 2 pm with other AYSO teams. Others participate in soccer activities on an adjoining field where they learn soccer skills and interact with each other (similar to our playground and schoolyard programs).

AYSO EXTRA Registration:

AYSO Extra is a tryout-based program that competes against other teams in interregional play, ie other AYSO EXTRA teams throughout the area. Games play is within our designated Area (9R) and teams could potentially travel between Farmington and Brigham City and into the Ogden Valley / Eden. Teams typically will play every team in their division once during the Fall season and once in the Spring season depending on the number of teams in a division. Players can choose to play Extra in addition to or independently of our CORE program. 

Tryouts are tentatively scheduled for the first week of June. More details on dates, times, and location to follow.

The cost for EXTRA program covers:

• (2) Uniforms - one Home and one Away, with the player's number of choice on the jersey and shorts. Uniforms are customized for the Extra program and feature upgrades from the CORE uniform. NO NAMES CAN BE ADDED TO THE PLAYERS JERSEY.
  
• A higher level of competition that still features AYSO's Six Philosophies, including "Everyone Plays ®" - meaning your player will participate in at least half of every game they attend.
• Referee incentives that ensure an AYSO certified center referee, and two certified assistant referees are present at EVERY game.
• Team training sessions with coaches from UK International Soccer Camps during the week of June soccer camp. Tentatively scheduled for the second and third weeks of June.

Since the Extra program is a tryout based program, you will not be charged until your player has accepted an official invitation from the team after the conclusion of tryouts.
