Coach are responsible to make sure that any parents helping with practices or covering for them on a regular basis at games are registered and have completed a background check and taken Safe Haven prior to stepping onto the field.

Parents can register as a coach or assistant coach to help with practices; however, the head coach will determine who they want as an assistant or otherwise helping with practices and games as long as the head coach has verified that their background check is complete. The parent can show them their volunteer page on their account showing that risk status is green and that they have completed safe haven.

Area and Region boards are responsible to make sure that the head coaches understand these requirements.
