How to Register for New Referees

Use this guide to sign up as a new volunteer Referee or sign up your child as a new volunteer Referee.

AYSO is a 100% volunteer run organization and we need your help! Thank you!

AYSO requires LEVEL II background check for our volunteers and players who are 18 and older to ensure the safety and security of our kids. This background check costs our region $25 per volunteer/year. To help us keep the cost of our program low, please only volunteer if you fully intend on participating. The region covers the cost of the background check. Make sure to use the link from Sterling Volunteers so the background check is connected to your account.

Payments will be made to referees using Stack Officials for EXTRA games at the end of the fall season once games have concluded and at the end of the spring season.

Payments for EXTRA games will be as follows:

U12 EXTRA Games
Center Referee $25 per game
Assistant Referee $15 per game

U10 EXTRA Games
Center Referee $20 per game
Assistant Referee $10 per game

Stack Officials is the standard website for signing up to referee extra games to fill one center referee position and two assistant referee positions for each EXTRA game.
